Jerseys

Telegraph-Road cycling jerseys

Telegraph-Road is a new brand of cycle clothing founded by fashionista and keen cyclist Aaron Firth. His 2010 spring/summer collection comprises six jersey designs, each available in sizes S-XXL and sporting a predominantly white colour scheme designed to promote visibility and reflect sunshine in order to keep the rider cool.

The jerseys are made from a sweat-wicking, high-stretch, unspecified synthetic fabric with seams cover-stitched to provide a snug, comfortable fit.  A silicone gripper strip is stitched to the  inside rear hem to prevent ride-up; the front hem, not being prone to the problem, does not need one.

The jerseys feature a short zip at the collar with bite tab and, more impressively, a small compass incorporated in the zip puller. Rear pocket configuration has been designed to keep food, pump, spare inner tube and gels both easily accessible and secure while riding through the use of two narrow central pockets with a wider pocket either side. There is also a small waterproof zip pocket for valuables.

Designs include the Alpe d’Huez, the Red and Green Flag, Red and Blue Flag, Cassette, Mountain Badges and the End to End, which has a map of the LEJOG route on the back.

Prices are £45 for all except the Mountain Badges, which sells for £49.

Telegraph-Road jerseys are available online at www.telegraph-road.com or through selected independent cycle retailers.
